An Interesting Article About Lag

Here is a very interesting article called Anatomy of a Lag. We all know what lag is and we have all experienced it. Now we can get an education about it and learn where it comes from and what really causes it.

Better Late Then Never… Maybe???

Here is the updated article about our wedding. The article features some small pics from our friend Sacred Singh as well as a link to see the photos taken by Dig and Leda. I know it was almost a month ago now… but well… go and enjoy. If anyone was at the wedding that I have forgotten to name please let me know.

Wedding of Daisy & Pirate

Party at Dusk IV – Daisy’s Rezzday

Guess who’s turning one… yep… Lady Braveheart….

We’ve decided that the next Party at Dusk should be held on Daisy Rezzday – August 28th. We would also love it to be sort of an open house for people to come visit the semi private parcels.

Come see the new standing stones and the new gallery.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr….

I decided to do some indoor decorating of the castle walls particularly the walls of the new master bedroom. well I started out smartly… put up a wall cover to tryout some textures…. then after we decide on one… I started texturing the inside… well as soon as the texture was up on a few walls I realized I hated it and to make matters worse… the texture can be seen on the balcony above where the well continues oustide…. grrrrrrrrrrrr….

So after trying to fix it and trying to isolate textures from the castle to fix it… I still had walls I hate… talking to the dude that built the rezz box castle…. his only solution was for us to come to his shop and look at the new version of the castle… so basically fix it by buying an new one… I dont think so…

But he did offer a suggestion which i guess is best…. remove the old castle and rerezz a new one in its place… well… I will…. however… due to the fact that I have a wayward spirit that is never fully satisfied with anything… I am going to rez the castle in a new spot oriented perpendicular to the way it is situation now… I will also push the castle up to the edge of the parcel lines and it will now be facing the garden… instead of the Dusk Sea.

I started measuring and situating things last night so I’m sure Daisy will be wondering whats going on at the castle when she gets there today. It will make a nice area between the castle and the garden and should also give access to the woods (now located behind the castle).

It will mean moving all the furniture tonight but in the long run it will make better use of the parcel. And there will be a possibility for a shop/gallery now… we shall see.

The Next Party…. PaDIV!!!!!

Hmmmmm… well you know I already thinking about the next party… the next celebration… maybe Daisy and I should go in the Master Bedroom and consider the possibilities. However…. a few things I have learned (and I’m not the only one)

  1. Sundays are WAY TO LAGGY for parties.
  2. Saturdays ARE better since there is less lag in SL. But there is still lag. I can live with it but only if I have to. What about Friday nights?
  3. Make sure the invitation states the dress code. Daisy and I would never require a certain type of dress… I like to wear period cloths or something close to period clothes but we don’t require the quests to. But from now on “Period clothes would be outstanding but not required…”
  4. I was recently told that guests follow the host… if a host sits outside the castle dancing with his lady then for the most part so will most of the guests… even when they are told to go explore. I was also told that this is due to the fact that people don’t know where they are permitted to go when they are visiting someones parcel… Common Sense. Soooooo… at the next party I will make it a point to start in the garden and work my way around…. bringing people to the various places in the castle.
